Saturday was Renton's riverdays parade. I have found their parade to be one of the best around. You do not have to finding parking hours in advance. I have always been able to park with in 15 minutes of the start and found a spot on a curb to plant myself. Renton's parade is different form other cities parades in several ways. They always provide the viewers bottled water, have garbage and recylcle cans everywhere, and the street sweeper ends the parade. Additionally The parade is not drawn out, usually last less than an hour. This year there were not as many of the vintage vehicles or specialized vehicles as in the past ( vintage garbage trucks, fire trucks, recely trucks, boeing riggs or the armored police tank). Yet the parade was enjoyable overall with plenty of pirates and clowns including the seafiar pirates. Here's two pics from the parade.
